Question Period Stopping b/c of pills?

Hi all,
I have been on a new birthcontrol for 2 months. The first period i had on this new pill was extremely light, i had called my doctor and she said that this was a normal occurance sometimes. So this month it is time for my period but it has not come yet. Mind you, it is only tuesday of my placebo pills, but i just get overly paranoid. Is it possible for my pills to completely stop my period? I take every pill as directed and at the same time each night(and i have read the post). I just wanted to see if this was normal sometimes?

I plan on going to the doctor if it doesnt show up, to see if i can switch pills again.

Read the post in this forum "Take Only as Directed." There is an addendum that addresses this issue. The doctor may reduce the dose, may tell you wait a couple months or may change the pill. Consider the ring; it puts a very low dose in your system.

I read the post. It was helpful, but i just have one more question. I understand that the pill decreases the amount of lining, which could be the reason why my period hasnt come yet. But If i took every pill at the exact time, no missed ones, there is a very slim chance im pregnant right? My boyfriend does not ejaculate inside me. I plan on calling the doctor, but i just want to know what to expect. Im they type who worries constantly.

The chance of pregnancy is very, very slight. You do need to see the doctor because there is a chance you are on too strong a pill. The doctor may switch you or may wait a month or two. It sometimes takes a few months for a woman to adjust.
