[QUOTE=girl12]look in the yellow pages for your nearest planned parenthood.

as she said.. planned parenthood is always there.. whenever she goes.. just ask for the papers on it.. you can either fill them out there or take them home, before you reach the age of 18 you have to have someone over the age of 18 sign for you, however, the woman that i talked to that works with planned parenthood informed me that they do not do backround checks etc.etc. on the person signing the papers for your birth control. and at planned parenthood it's at a very low and good price for teenagers.. i think that it happens to be about $17 a month, which isn't even that bad.

by the way-- if your girlfriend has had sex before the people at planned parenthood with make her take a papsmear. however if she lets the people who work there now that she is not a virgin she will not have to take this test.. if she lies, however, they do not give you any sort of different pill that they were already going to give you in the first place. plus the test costs additional money--what teen wants that if it's possible to skip over it?

[i'm also 16 and i tend to read up, talk to people on this subject. i also wanted to get birth control as of recently. so i know a few facts on the subject.]

is it possible that even in an annonymous forum, people will still use the "my girlfriend has a problem" line? Like they said, PP, as much as I dislike them, is probably the way to go...

BC pills are sometimes perscribed for "difficult" periods, if you catch my drift.

Regarding what DitzyDoll said about skipping the pap smear.

I really don't think that is a good idea. If I understood my doctor correctly, getting these tests regularily helps prevent cervical cancer. I would not suggest skipping it to anyone. Seems unneccessarily irresponsible.
