She shouldn't MAKE you do anything. It is smart to go to the DR and get on some sort of BC but the shot doesn't work for every woman.... just like each different brand of BC pill isn't for every woman.
Just talk to the DR and maybe see if you can get your mom to leave the room and just tell the DR exactly what you told us.

Regrettably, not an unusual situation. Too many mothers show up in my surgery (office) with teen daughters demanding that the daughter be put on the pill. It often happens when the mother discovers or suspects that the daughter is sexually active. When I do an examination of any woman, no matter the age, it is alone and that is when the true stories come out.
Yes, the doctor should know what to do about it. And she will have a discussion with you and, then, with your mother. No one can require you to take any medication. I recommend things to patients every day which they may or may not refuse. It is your body.
