Chlamydia question not posed yet

I used to be up here but it’s been a while and I think my profile was deleted.
So here is the deal, I have been dating the same girl for almost 3.5 years now and I’m almost positive that she has been completely faithful to me, but I know I haven’t been to her. We have had this long distance relationship; and there are have been a few times when I have gotten drunk and hooked up with some other girls. Well she went to her gynecologist last week for a normal checkup and she told my girlfriend that she has Chlamydia. I told her that I was unfaithful during our month long breakup; I know I should have come completely clean but I was so shocked that I couldn’t tell her that there was more than one girl and that it wasn’t just during that break. She said she needs a few days to think, and when she calls back im probably going to go drive to see her and get everything out in the open. She is upset and I understand that she has all the right in the world to be. I am getting tested tomorrow at my school’s health center. So here are my questions:

I think that I may have gotten it from a girl back in September, but I’m not positive on that. I don’t remember if I used a condom or if it broke, and I have no symptoms. How long, on average, before Chlamydia starts to do major damage? If I have had if for lets say a year, would there be a good chance that it will lead to something serious? NOTE: I am getting tested tomorrow and I will start the medication as soon as possible which should be in a few days, from what I have read.

Does anybody know how much this whole thing is going to cost me? I think the health center said that they can send off the test for free but the results are going to cost money to get back, and the prescription. Anybody been in the same boat?

And how contagious is it? If for example, if I slept with some girl once and she had it and the condom broke (this honestly happens to me a lot, which is why sometimes I just don’t use them. If I have them I generally use them.) is it pretty definite that I have it?

Sorry this is so long but any help yall could give would be apprecitated.

Firstly, chlamydia is highly contagious. Unprotected sex with someone infected is almost certain to infect the healthy partner. It can also remain dormant showing no outward symptoms for a long time. This makes it particularly dangerous for women because they can end up sterile before symptoms appear. The bacteria live in vaginal juices and semen and it can be passed orally, genitally or oral-genitally.

If condoms break commonly for you, it is time to switch brands. In my condom using days, I went through a rather wild period. Only once did a condom ever fail. Polyurethane is less likely to fail than latex. Female condoms are less likely to fail than the "regular" ones.

If I were your girlfriend and you brought me that little surprise, I would dump you in a heartbeat. The good news: Chlamydia is the most cureable of the STDS. It will either be a single pill or a week of one pill a day. I prefer the latter.

The cost does not matter and I am in Scotland so I would not know. I do consider it a dumb question. You have Chlamydia, it needs to get treated. End of story.
