Question BC pill question

Hey everyone. I was wondering if it was ok to take my BC pill an hour earlier than i usually do. I'm going to a club this weekend and i wont be home to take my pill on time. Taking the BC pack with me isnt really an option because i dont want to lose it. I usually take it at about 11:00 every night but i'll be leaving my house around 10:00. Will the pill still working properly if i take it an hour early? Thanks for your help!

I don't know what your doctor has told you, but mine said that the exact time isn't important, as long as it is around the same time. Ie. If you are taking it in the morning, it doesn't matter if it is at 8 or at 11. But if you take it in the morning one day, you can't take it at night the next day, otherwise it is much more than 24 hours in between. Unless your doctor specifically said to do it at the same time, an hour should be fine. Hopefully this made sense, and someone will come along to confirm, or correct.

Well i was told by my doctor to always take it about the same time everyday/night to make it as effective as possible. Even in the little booklet that comes with the pack it says to take it at the same time everyday or night. Hopefully one hour wont cause a problem for me.

With the low dosage of modern pills, your must be careful to maintain a therapeutic dosage. An hour likely will make no difference but the right schedule is the right schedule.

You may want to consider using a ring. They have even lower levels of hormones and have to be inserted and removed once each motnh. As long as you do not use reacting medications or supplements, you are covered.

I did wear a "practice ring" (I have had a tubal ligation) for two months and it was not noticeable. Most women report the same.
