Can you have sex when you have a UTI??

Short answer: yes

If you are a woman, it may be uncomfortable and may be further irritated. You may not want to. Use a condom until the regimen of medication is complete.

If you are a man, ejaculation is beneficial. One of the best ways to get much of the infection out of the prostate is to shoot it out. Use a condom if you are not doing it yourself.

Even after the symptoms are gone, the one infected will still have infection present until the regimen of medications is complete. To prevent reinfecting one another (passing it back and forth) use a condom as long as either is on medication for UTI.
