i just had a baby, and i'm on the shot now. i was wanting to get off the shot before i decide to have another child, but i don't know when to get off. i was wanting to have another baby in about 3-5 years from now but i don't know how long the effects will last after i stop using it.

Rhonda,
You are seeing the prescriber every month to get the shot and you seem to be in no rush. Ask the doctor or office nurse. Some doctors recommend using an interrim method and some simply have you go off it. Get the straight scoop and not diverse input from women who have advice from many sources.
