IUD's N Male Pain

My partner has been complaining for months of irritation and UI like symptoms. I have had no symptoms of anything. We have been poked, prodded, tested and have finally come to the conclusion he is being scraped by the nylon cords of my IUD. Has anyone else ever been a victim??? We just think we're so weird. Any suggestions other than total removal of the IUD???

If he is being scraped, it would be on the outside and not giving signs infection. The chances of one of the strings entering his urethra would be between none and slight.

Try using condoms for a while, either traditional or, better, female condoms, and see if that helps. If it does, you could be right. I think the IUD is a great and greatly underused method of birth control and have never heard of male problems associated with it.
