Just starting college and period is late

So i just started college as a freshman one month ago. I had my period right before i left, and now its time again. The only thing is that im one week late. I only had sex with my boyfriend twice since my last period, and we had no accidents, no breakage of condoms..everything went fine. Could the lateness be caused by just the stress of moving away from home, change of diet ect. I highly doubt i could be pregnant, just because we had no problems, but im getting worried becasue its so late! Anyone have any advice for me? hmmmm

Yea I would say that it could be the stress.
Starting college and leaving home is a BIG change!
Plus stressing over it being late can make things worse.
I would suggest to going and getting a pregnancy test. They aren't that expensive and pretty accurate.
I've been in that situation and the just NOT knowing is enough to drive you crazy. Just do that and you'll feel a lot better

Do you think i should wait a few more days and see how it goes? Its exactly a week late. The latest i've ever been is 5 days

You shouldn't have to wait unless you just really want to.
Some of the new pregnancy tests can give accurate results 5 days before your missed period... at least thats what the commercial says, lol.
Like I said, for me the not knowing was awful. Before I took a test and it was negative, so I was able to chill out a little and my period came a day or so later.

So, my period came yesterday (finallyyy!!)...but its really light. Is this normal or should i still be worried?

i dont think u need to b worried...my periods r being rlly erratic at the mo...ive been extremely light, then extremely heavy...im under a lot of stress atm so i understand why my body's being a bit psycho. just chill and if things rlly don't sort out and ur still worried, seek a doctor's advice.

I was just worried because i heard that one of the sypmtoms of pregnancy was having a light period. My period was 9 days late so i was extra paranoid. Im sure that its just the stress, and being paranoid doesnt help either. Now, im assuming that the cause in decrease of flow is also due to the stress.

I completely missed 2 periods (2 months in a row) when i had my exams- i wasnt pregnant- we put it down to the stress and change of routine as the problem.

I am in the same boat as jay-girl, except that it has been 2 months since my last period. I don't think it is stress, because I just started feeling stressed this week. My periods have never really been regular... but I could usually count on it every 5 or 6 weeks.

Also, I began having sex sometime in the last two month... I was wondering if that could have an affect.

yea sex could definitely have an effect on your period, the fact you can get pregnant!

If I were you, I would take a pregnancy test.
The wondering would drive me crazy!!!
