Vaginal contraceptive film is about as effective as any other spermicidal contraceptive. If 100 women are so protected for a year, 15 will get pregnant. Use a condom, too, and you are in good shape. Pulling out is about the least pleasant way to avoid pregnancy - and is highly unreliable.
