Hi Everyone!
I just started to be sexually active about 2 months ago with my girlfriend. It was our first time for both of us.She is on the birth control pills and I would like to know if it's ok to have sex without condoms once in a while.Just to mention also that she always takes her pill at the same time every day.I would also like to know if you can get an std even though we have both not been with anyone before. thanks. |

Not to scare you or nothing, but there IS the possiblilty that she or even you may have been exposed to an STD, not from sexual contact, but from Child Birth, and unsanitary bathrooms... THE only way to be sure is to go to perhaps your family doctor, or go to a Planned Parenthood center and ask around there, to get an STD/HIV check for the BOTH of you... better safe than sry...
As for using a condom or not... even though she's on the pill, its not 100%, whut i suggest, and my piers will agree, that IF u decide NOT to use a condom, then do TWO other things... * 1.) Pull out, as in dont ejaculate in her when u reach ur climax... AND 2.)Use some sort of Spermicidal Lube or Gel.. this SHOULD take care of any pre-ejaculated sperm, any ones that for some FREAK reason get through the Pill will do its job... That's my input and that's what i ((plan to)) use... HAve fun Be Safe * -Rick

Did you know that there is an infinitely small chance that when lightning strikes in close proximity to you the resulting EM pulse can stop your heart? Never heard that? It’s true but happens so rarely people don’t really know about it… that’s kinda the same odds of an unsanitary bathroom giving your GF an STD.
The chance is there for child birth a lot more than the bathroom, but if u look at this from a logical point of view her parents would probably know about it and unless this is some odd family that never talks about their problems she would probably have been alerted. What it comes down to is if neither of you have ever been active before(active includes oral sex) then the chances of her having something that she doesn’t know about are very very small. you could both get tested if you really wanted to but the risks in your situation are very low. if past conditions were different or either of you had a bad encounter in your past it would probably be a good idea to get tested but as I said your situation seems low risk
