Ok .... I am having sex,, I use condoms... But to be honest .. im young under 16 thats all i wanna say ... I have seen a planned parenting around my house ... But i dunno if i should go there... I meen everything is free i heard and you need a std test which is a good idea and i want one of thoes too ... But my problem is is my age and all .. I meen i know i was and am ready for sex... For everyone there is a diffrent age depending on maturity lol but my spelling has nothing to do with that LOL .... Ok so im saying i have 2 reasons to go on the pill!!!

#1: M period might get lighter and less cramps ... YAY
#2: I am sexually active and i dont wanna take any chances of a condum breaking so why not use a condum and the pill?? I know there is still a lil chance but VERY LITTLE with both!!! i know this isnt really A QUESTION i just kinda need to talk about it!!

Okay.... may I first say: YAY FOR YOU!!! It's great that your mature enough to know that birth control is important when you are sexually active, and even MORE great that you're planning on doubling your protection with the pill AND a condom (better safe than sorry, I always say). Now on to your question!

Yes.... you are young (we're not gunna get into the age thing because I'm sure you've heard it and thats not the information you need), but the folks at Planned Parenthood have seen it all before. I garuntee (I never could spell that word!) that your age will not be an issue there. Girls like you are the reason Planned Parenthood was created! They will be happy that they are able to help you out. After all, once you've started your period, regardless of age, pregnancy is possible and they'd rather have you protected than not.

If you know where a planned parenthood is and want to make an appointment, I suggest checking it out online. Through the main site you can find the planned parenthood in your area and get the number, AND with some, you can even make an appointment online.

everything MizMinx has said is correct- they wont turn you away because of your age and they will be glad that you have thought about it and put yourself in the position to get extra protection and an STI test, very sensible so well done you!

And, in the meantime, use a condom with some spermicide - vaginal jelly, foam, film. The combination of the two will give you about the same protection as the pill.

I'm SO happy that what I said helped (you made my day! ) and congrats on making the appointment! I totally get how you feel about making appointments "like that." It's completely understandable... and to be honest, I'm 21 and I still get a little ookie about making different kinds of appointments sometimes (lol, sometimes I get my mom to do it for me.... its very sad). But its great that you were able to gather the courage to do what you knew you needed to. Just more proof of how much good this board does. Can't wait to hear how it goes!

I did it! It was weird... I had to fill out alot of papers... and Get a pap SINCE its required if you had sex .. That pinched a little... I will get my pas results in 2-3 weeks ... ALSO I got the birth control and i start on my next period.... So all went well... Very well ... WEIRD .. BUT WELL .... I also got purple condums that are so neet lol HAHAHAHA ..... Double protection ..... Thank you guys again !!!!

Yea its kinda weird and uncomfortable the first time you get an exam. The next time wont be so bad since you kinda know what to expect, etc.

Eh..my girlfriend is not very worried about pregnancy which kinda annoyse me because i am always worried about after we have sex. *She has said that if you use a condom you wont get pregnant. *Her parents are putting her on the pill I think but I don't kno how long its gunna take.
