Hi all,

I hope someone can help me, im fairly new to sex, started sleeping with my bf about 6 months ago and before that i was a virgin, my boyfriend was also a virgin and we had been together a loooooonnnng time before we had sex so we were totally comfortable and trusted each other, I am on the pill and that is our protection and because neither of us slept with anyone else and never have done i thought it would be pretty safe as far as STDs were concerned. Problem is im a bit worried cos, i feel i have one or two spots down below wich arent painful or itchy but are uncomfortable when you touch them, its a strange feeling cos its not painful or anything. i think theres a maximum of 3 or 4 spots. I am thinking they could be a number of things, some totally harmless cos im due on my period in a few days but im concerned i could have herpes or warts or something. could this be possible if neither of us has slept with any other (i know my boyfriend has never cheated) any advice would be appreciated cos i really dont want to see a doctor unless i have to.

Thanks

Hi,
theyre just little bumps,, you cant really see them, just feel them, today after a little examination i feel i may have about two of them, i used to get one spot down there when my period was due before i had sex so im wondering if its something to do with that.

First, do not get panicky. This is not uncommon and your doctor will likely be able to put your mind at ease. But do see her. These bumps are usually small cysts or ingrown hairs and are nothing to worry about. If they get larger, your doctor can clear them up quite simply.

Your fear will get in the way of the rest of your sex life, so get the questions answered by someone competent.
