i have just started taking the pill, like only since yesterday, the doctor said as it was the ned of my period that i would have to wait 7 days for it to be fully effective, so just to make me feel better, if me and my b/f wanted to not use a condom on monday night, which is the 7days
do u think it would be worth just using a condom just in case?? any advice would be great full emma |

No problem!
I know what it's like to have a pregnancy scare and wouldn't wish that upon anyone! So it's definately better safe than sorry.

I urge my patients to use a backup method for a full month. If you want to ditch the condomes, try the sponge or some of the spermicide systems. These come in jelly, foam, film, suppository with different ones more available from country to country.
Until you get established on one pill (it often takes two or three to find one you tolerate well), it is a good idea to backup.
