I'm new to posting here but I frequently read the boards anyways, but I have a question.

The other night I went down on my girlfriend and I had one finger inside her while stimulating her clit with my tongue. When I removed my finger there was a white pastey like substance on it. I know it wasn't cum, we've been together for a year and I very much know what it looks like. If someone could please help me out and let me know if you think this is an STD sign or if you know what it was, let me know, thank you very much.

when i looked up the symptoms of STDs it said that vaginal discharge is usually yellowish or greenish.

If she is not itching or having other symptoms it could just simply be the way her lubricant is. *I do know that my parner has had the same kind of thing and was perfectly healthy. *It was just a thicker more opaque fluid rather than the clear lubrication I am used to. *Could also just be muccus from the cervix. *I say if she seems healthy then it is probably isn't anything to be concerned about.

I'm sure its not a yeast infection and I honestly don't believe it to be an STD because its completely white, no other color variation. I've only ever noticed it a couple of times and it could be the muccus from the cervix you were talking about, I don't know. But its weird because its not really a fluid, i mean it is but its almost like a completely white clump of paste or something. I really hate to say it that way because it makes it sound worse than it probably is. Thank you both very much for those ideas.

yeah covering the cervix is a mucous plug.
like a week or so after my period is done ill discharge mine it seems.
its sounds gross, lol, but its just one of those things.
mine isn't really pastey tho.
is she using any kind of spermicidal insert??

It's never a bad idea to have a STD check anyhow. My advise is to go with her to your GUM clinic and have an STD check, and while there, have one yourself.
