AndyUK is on a distinguished road
Hi. I wondered if someone out there could mabe help me with this.

My girlfriend used to be this sex-crazed maniac who would want to do it all the time no matter what. Now it's not the case.

A brief history:

We used condoms in the first few months of our relationship and then decided for her to go on the pill. She used an American oral contraceptive and things seemed ok. She then moved over to live with me in the UK (we're in a long distance relationship) and things were fine still. Then she had to change to another brand of pill as her previous supply ran out and that's when I think it started to go wrong.

She's been off the pill for way over a year now and her sex drive just seems to be so low compared to mine - we both thought that it woud go back to normal after she came off the pill. We're back to being in a long distance relatonship and rarely get to see each other and I would love it that when we do see each other, she would just be dying to rip my clothes off you know.

I know she's not having sex with anyone else for a fact and she used to masturbate very frequently, but rarely does this also now.

Just wondered if someone else has been in the same boat and could offer any advice.

Andy

well i know a side effect of the pill is lower sex drive which i always thought was ironic lol.
its like ok now im safe but i dont even feel like doing it.
i would suggest your g/f go to the DR and have all her hormones checked. it may be her estrogen is too high/low and her testosterone is way low.
they have testosterone treatments for women who might be having troubles like this.
maybe Brandye will have a more of a DR's approach and give you some more options.

Well, we have virtually the same formulary available here as in the US. Talk to the prescriber, perhaps even in a private (as opposed to NHS clinic) clinic and see what can be worked out. Anything is possible and different formulations affect women differently.

Of course there is the possibility that something else is going on in her head. Talk about it with her.
