i have been on the pill now for well over a year and it has always been fine and i have had my period and there has been no changes in my cycle however the past month i had a period while i was taking my pill i carried on taking my pill through my period however i arent sure exactly what i should do now my period has finished becaue it means that my cycle wont be when i finish my pills because the dates have changed can anyone help!! thank you

Something has clearly upset your cycle. Other medication or dietary supplements are suspect as is some high fever that you may have had.

Make certain you use another supploemental form of birth control until this gets squared away. See your prescriber. Discuss what has happened and get some advice on continuing or changing the prescription. With modern, low dose pills there are lots of things that can throw you off schedule. BUT, assume that you are unprotected until you get stabilized.
