my g/f keeps getting bladder infections. i know its most likely because of having sex but is there any way she can avoid this? this is her 2nd one in 2 months!

One way I try to prevent them is to make sure I go to the bathroom after sex. If she's not doing that now have her try that, maybe this will be the answer.

another thing she could do is pee BEFORE sex. and wash your hands. always. get under your fingernails and make sure your fingers are clean before you touch her vagina.

duckies right on
doctors advise you pee after sex b/c it flushes out any bacteria or other things that could be around.
women are more susceptible to UTI b/c our urethras are much shorter than mens.

yeah, i finally convinced her to go to the doctor and he gave her some antibiotics and told her to pee after we do our business. one good thing did come out of all of this. i've been wanting her to get on birth control but for that to happen she of course has to go to the gyno. her mom told her that she doesn't need to go to the gyno until she's sexually active (which she doesn't know about). so now my g/f just told her mom that the doctor said it would be a good idea for her to go to a gyno since the bladder infection is a reaccuring problem. looks like birth control in no time!!!
