hey i'm planning to go on the pill very soon and i was just curious as to what the side effects are and stuff... can anyone on it please just give me feedback on anything different good/bad that they've experienced on the pill? thanks

I've ben on the pill for the last 2 years, and it worked wonderfully for me. BUt you gotta check with your doctor about everything, and remember, that it might be different for you then it was for me. BUt I don't really thing there should be a problem if you talk to the docotr and pick whats right for you.

yeah as w/ any prescription drug there are side effects
your DR will explain them all to you.
some people react bad others have no trouble.
ive been lucky and have had no trouble on my pills.
im on ortho tricyclen lo
it seems to do the trick. i was also lucky to find a good pill the first try. some women have to try several different formulas till they find the one most compatible w/ their body.

i have another qs about the pill... i'm 16 and i'm worried that if i take it, it will stop my growth and development... is that true? can it do that?

no you are ok
girls younger than you have taken the pill. especially those who have to take them b/c their periods are so bad.
if anything, your boobs will grow lol

Actually. I did hear somewhere that it's not always reommended for younger girls to go on the pill cuase of hormones in them. However, it could have been just my mom's paranoid rambling.

yeah maybe if you are like 12 but she's already 16 so i don't think she would have any trouble.

i just read where ortho tricyclen was prescribed to girls age 15 and older just to treat acne...so she should be ok
