The Ring

My girlfriend just switched from the pill to a ring that you insert in your vagina that is pretty much the same concept as the pill, as in it's a 3 week hormonal contraceptive. The thought crossed my mind last night as i was eating her out that by doing so i am most likely ingesting some of the hormones as well. i know it's stupid that i'm asking, but is it possible for me to get a heavy enough dose of estrogen or progesterone or whatever is in the ring that it would affect my body chemistry? My guess is I don't get enough because it only seeps the amount of hormone into the body in a whole day that is contained in one pill. A cunnilingus session - even a long one - couldn't give me enough of the hormone. But i don't know that for sure. I doubt anyone else really does, but if they do, let me know.
And i'll let you all know if i start growing breasts or something .

Exactly what i was looking for * thanks. It was really just a dumb question that i had allowed myself; i was already pretty sure it wouldn't be enough to do anything to me. But on another note, it's not the labia i'm worried about , it's when i get my tongue a little farther in there (i actually touched the ring on a deep tongue dive). it doesn't happen often enough to do anything.

Either you have a tongue like an aardvark or the ring was out of place. The most common difficulty with the ring is slipping out of position. If you find it in the bedcovers while making the bed, you have problems!

Actually, she should check regularly to insue that it is where it belongs and not slipping around and, possibly, being expelled. This is no big deal. The diaphragm, cervical cap, sponge and, even, the disposable menstrual cup all share this issue. If I used the ring, I would check during foreplay.

having read the instructions on the ring, it didn't seem like there was actually any specific place in the vagina that it was supposed to be (as in, it didn't say it should encircle the cervix). It was partly that she had her legs up when i had my tongue in; when i fingered her it felt like it was far enough in that it wouldn't slip out. but thanks for the heads up, i'll make sure she knows to check and make sure it's still in there.
(she uses it to regulate her periods rather than for birth control. we use condoms every time as well; i guess it does serve as a backup though)

ive tried using those disposable menstrual cups and i couldn't ever seem to get them in there w/out feeling discomfort.
i know w/ those it says you have to push them far enough in that they are on the other side of your pubic bone and they kind of rest behind that.

I still say that those things sound scary. To me, it just sounds real scary trying to fit in it and making sure that it's palces correctly and all the fun stuff like that. Plus I'm not sure that I myslef can find cervix.
Also, I was kind of wondering if they actually make it in different sizes, cause not every woman is the same size I'm sure.
