It's up to her whether she wants to wait or find out sooner.
There are pregnancy tests that can be accurate up to four days after fertilization. If she wants to know, she can get one of these tests. However, there is always the chance of getting a false negative, especially if it is very on in a pregnancy. She could speak to her doctor who could do a more sensitive test for pregnancy. She could wait it out and hope for the best. Not many signs usually show up before the missed period. That is usually everyone's first clue that they are pregnant. However, some signs to watch for (that are also similar to preperiod symptoms) include breast tenderness, tiredness, headache, nausea and vomitting, fatigue, frequent urination, and increased vaginal discharge. Again those, these can be signs of many other things including PMS and stress. They also do not usually appear during the first few weeks of pregnancy. Tell your friend good luck! Let us know how things go.
