As a man who has posted in past forums about not being able to ejaculate during intercourse, I have finally found what I believe is the reason for my -- and lots of other men's -- obstacle.

In the most recent edition of Playboy a letter was published in the advisor section refering to the website http://members.fortunecity.com/tms3/index.html.

This website suggests, with copious evidence, that masturbating while prone on your stomach, "thrusting" into a mattress, pillow, or harder surface, is the reason some men may suffer from the ability to not orgasm or even get it up. Of course, I'm no doctor, but I know this is me. I am a textbook case for this damned thing.

I've seen and communicated on the board here with several men -- or women wanting to help their boyfriends -- who state having a difficulty with orgasming with their girlfriend.

I implore you guys to check out that site. Here it is again: http://members.fortunecity.com/tms3/index.html

I joined the support group today and hopefully I'm starting on my recovery.

From the bit of research I have done, this is not the only cause of inhibited orgasm. I have extreme trouble orgasming during sex (but I did succeed once while pumping at about the speed of a rabbit). My problem is not traumatic masturbatory syndrome though. I masturbate with my hand; never have even tried masturbating by thrusting while on my stomach. For those of us who do not masturbate this way, I have deducted that the problem is more likely than not a psychological problem causing "male anorgasmia" or "inhibited/delayed orgasm". looking any of these things up on google will give you sites related to the subject. I believe there is also an older thread in this subject that tells a little about the problem.

thanks folks, this post has re-assured me that i am not alone in this.

I've been seeing a wonderful girl for 8 months now and i've never been so happy, I think part of my problem is that i place too much focus on the orgasm as such and stop enjoying the sex!!

it's valentines soon and im taking us away for a nice weekend, fingers crossed it will all work out now that i'm feeling more relaxed about the whole thing.
