Morning after pill

I've been on birth control for about 4 months now...I'm usually really good about taking it on time, but for the last week, I've just been really distracted, and been taking it late most nights...only like an hour late usually..but it was 4 hours on the worst time...
My boyfriend and I have been using condoms though just in case. Well, we had sex this morning, but the condom slipped off (inside of me, nonetheless) and he'd already come.
Should I be worried? I've been playing with this idea of the morning after pill, but is it neccesary?
Responses within 72 hours would be great as that is my window...

um i dunno
from what ive heard and read the only time you really need to worry is when you skip a whole day or more.
i dont think taking it a few hours late causes that much of a problem.

don't quote me on this tho. did you try looking online maybe on webmd or some other site.
some pills come w/ a pamphlet inside that has side effects and other interesting facts... maybe it can help.

An update...I take progstin only pills....and on an instruction site for them, it says, "If you take a pill more than 3 hours late...you need to use backup for 48 hours" At the time of the condom slippage, it was only about 34 hours...
Also, I looked at the pack of BC today (the third of the 4 my doctor gave me for the first 4 months) and it said it had an Expiration Date of 07/03 Is that a concern too?
I think I may just get the ECP (morning after pill) but does anyone have any advice???

well the best thing to do is call your doctor and ask them for sure.
b/c you dont want to take a morning after pill unless you totally HAVE to... ive heard they make you sick as hell and feel like sh*t.
as far as the expiration date. i used to work at a pharmacy and meds were ok if they were like maybe a month old. some meds the older they get the weaker/stronger they get. it all depends on the meds. i would ask the dr./pharmacy where you got the pills and tell them you want some fresh ones.

If you want to be really safe, I would suggest doing it. I had to once and I didn't get sick, it isn't a big deal taking it. Call Planned Parenthood, they have the pill.

Thank you all for the advice. I went to get the morning after pill today...my boyfriend went with. It was pretty horrible. I was sick all day. I did call my doctor today about the expiration date. She said that she "wouldn't chance it" and that I need to be using backup. Well, that doesn't help with the previous 3 weeks. So, right now there's nothing I can do but wait and see....and be scared as hell in the meantime. Anyone who has been through this wanna offer some advice?

My bf and I had a serious scare a few months back. I wasn't on BC yet and we had been using condoms. One night when we were done and he went to take the condom off he noticed that some had come out and onto me. I was scared to death. So I can understand what you are feeling. How long till your period is supposed to start?
As for advice on dealing...Take it one day at a time and try not to think about it to hard. If your period is late go get some tests. Keep in mind that your period may be late from stress. Try to stay calm. (Yes i know that is a stupid thing to say but that is pretty much your best plan of action)
