Can anyone tell me where the shot for a vasectomy goes? Someone said it went right into the testicles? I really hope that is not the case. Scrotum, or groin OK, Testicle..........

ok im not for sure but i looked at several sites and they said that the local anesthetic is just injected into the scrotum and the vas deferenes tubes.
i can't see why they would numb the testicles b/c n othing is happening to them. on the scrotum skin and vas deferenes tubes are whats getting snipped.

here's a link to a non-scapel vasectomy. not sure what you are having done but this has pictures. so beware the squimish.. heheh

Wow! An excellent link dbc. I'll send this to my hubby, too. We've debated vascetomy for a few years. I understand that it is a very safe proceedure with virtually no side effects, correct me if I'm wrong. This has been my leverage against lubal-ligation. (We're old married people and our kids are teens.)

Well, demon answered the original question. Jewel, you are quite correst in seeing the vasectomy as having rare side effects. There has been some study indicating that men who have been snipped have slightly higher incidence of cancer. It could well be an artifact.

Neither the vasectomy nor tubal ligation have many problems associated with them. The ligation is slightly more popular today but it is a slightly more complicated procedure. It is really a toss-up between them and sterilization has become the preferred contraception among thirty-somethings in the industrial world.
