Wink

About 2 months ago i've noticed some bumps down there. They're not where the pubic hair is. Its in the vulva area, and some bu my anus. I've never had sex, so it shouldnt be an std. one thing i was thinking is that it could be from shaving, b/c to shave, u kinda have to move skin out of the way and on an area where theres no hair could have gotten shaved on accident. sometimes i shave around my anus , so that could explain the bumps back there. I've stopped shaving to see if it would help. But i dont know if its from shaving. They've been there for a while though, u'd think that if it was shaing irritation, it would go away. the bumps hurt sometimes.
* * I know i should see a doctor, but im a teen, i have to talk to my mom to be able to, and i dont know if i could talk to her about it. I dont want her thinking i've *been having sex, when i havent. But i want to go to the doctors, b/c *i dont know if whatever it is is just going to get worse without treatment or something.
* *So if someone has had this happen to them and can tell me what it might be or what i can do, please, tell me.
* * * * * *thanks

If you're too afraid to talk to you mom, you might best talk to you OB/GYN. Since you are a young woman, it's very common for you to schedule regular sessions with your OB/GYN! She/He will be able to quickly tell you if there's anything to be worried about!

Even if you have never had sex, there is some possibility that you could have an STD. If you have ever had oral sex or come into contact with someone else's genitalia in any way, you could have caught something. The disease your symptoms sound most similar to is genital warts, which can be spread on contact, even without penetration.

I would strongly advise you to see a doctor. You don't have to tell your mom all the details; just tell her you have some irritation in your vulva. She probably won't assume that you are having sex, as there are other things besides sex that can cause irritation.

It is quite possible that this will turn out to be nothing. While it is possible to catch an STD while still a virgin, the odds are fairly low. Don't worry yourself too much--but do see a doctor.

thanks girlygurl and rawbob,
* * I dont have a gynocologist though,rawbob, ive never been to one, i just go to the normal doctors. i think i will just tell her have irritation. i havent grinded parts with a guy, so i couldnt have gotten it like that, right? *and normal warts from ppl cant be transfered down there, only genital warts can, so the ones on hands n feet cant. it really worries me. i dont know what it is or how it got there, or what its gonna do. and if it turns out to be an std, the rest of my life is gonna be fucked up. this sucks.

I didn't mean to scare you too much! These symptoms could easily be nothing more than irritation from shaving or something equally benign. Just get to a doctor to rule out the possibility that it is something serious. Good luck.

Hopefully it is just what I have from time to time. I sometimes get small bumps on my vagina and anus as well. It's simply razor burn for me. I shave everything, from front to back and when I use a new razor.. yeow, pain. It hurts for the first few hours after I shave....

You put a razor down there? How about a Brazillian wax instead?

those cost money. Not everyone can afford extras like that. It's a lot cheaper to buy a razor I can use over and over again then it is to go somewhere and get a wax.

You can buy homemade wax at the drug store these days. Using a razor in those areas is insane! I'd even suggest NAIR if you do it carefully. Geez.

I don't think the term insane is applicable when comparing shaving to my using nair. I'm allergic to the gunk. Thanks for the suggestion though....
I'm just curious though, plucking, how long does that take you?
