I have just responded to a private message from a 16 year old woman. She is on the pill, concerned about a safe time to have sex and her b/f refuses to use a condom.
If the boy (obviously not a man) is such a jerk he will not use a condom, girls, pull up your shorts and go home. When still in the teens pregnancy risk is high and you will live with the results forever. If you are so concerned about pregnancy that you want to time it in addition to being on the pill, maybe you are not ready.
Sex is a wonderful experience. Sweating out your period every month is no fun at all. Maturity brings an ability to deal with that but the psychological pressure of worrying about pregnancy constantly can, itself, do permanent harm.
