Cool

Hello, hope everyone its doing great!...

Ok here is my case..i was diagnosted with a big ovarian cyst like 2 months ago..then my doctor sent me to the specialist...when i went there 2 weeks after i was diagnosted, cuz i had my period, the cyst kinda reduced...so he checked me and told me was a small one and put me on birth control pills (but when my doctor checked me she kinda freak cuz was too big) so next tuesday i have another ultrasound (after 6 weeks that i got checked) to see if it desapeared, or else he say he is gonna take it out...but now the cyst its botherin me a lot like b4 and sometimes a lil more than that, and i got my period like 2 weeks ago, so im kinda scare that it could be as big as before or even bigger, i will know by next week...i wanted to know if someone went under sirgury to get an ovarian cyst removed, i wanna know what to expect (some of my cousins and my half sis had cyst and had them remove) but i dunno if its too big, for what ive read they will cut me, or if it is small they just will do it thru my belly bottom...i just need a lil insight from someone that went thru that....
Thank u lots

Honey,

You have my thoughts and prayers. Specific assistance is not available in this impersonal medium. Most surgeries are completely successful and you will be back to normal activity quite quickly. You will be having regular checkups for a few years.

Talk to your doctor and do not hesitate to ask for a second opinion. The more comfortable you are with the treatment prescribed, the better your chances of succes. I have a few patients each year who are referred for ovarian cysts and all have been successful and returned to normal within a month.

Hugs

Thank u Brandye i really appreciate it, and its really sweet of u and conforts me to know that most surgeries are pretty successful, the doctor told me was a simple sirgury and a fast one...but i never been under any kinda surgery so i really dunno...I thought that the pills will get rid of it, cuz i felt fine for a whole month i didnt feel anything at all, its just like a week ago or so till now its like crazy, if im sittin down for too long bothers me, in the car, when i lay on my side, tonite i was on the niteclub couldnt even dance, i tried and then started this lil sharp pain that i even felt it on my leg...im just pretty worried if breaks or somethin, the doc told me thats really painfull

I have a question...is it possible that cyst can be link to stress??? cuz lately ive been under lot of stress and its when my cyst started to bother me the most...b4 too, i was going thru some things and i was stressed and thats when my cyst started to form....so could it be possible???

Thank u again and many hugs

The stress did not contribute to the formation of the cyst. Your awareness of the cyst's being there has added to your stress and, likely, enhanced your overall discomfort. I know this is much easier to say than do but you need to relax and just take it easy until the surgery. The likelihood of rupturing the cyst is low and, your doctor is right, you do not want that to happen.

If there is any pain, avoid physical exertion and do whatever mindless or thoughtful activity that keeps you thinking about other things.

Believe me, what you are going through now is worse than the cure is going to be.

Tak care of yourself.

All I can add is hang in there unicorn; just take it easy, follow your docs (and Brandye's) advice and you should be just fine.
