Hi. I'm new here. And I have a few questions. I'm 18 years old and I am a 40DD. As a teenager I have always been on the bigger size. And I often got picked on for it, and guys thought just because I have big boobs, means that Im easy. NOT TRUE! Just about a month ago I thought I was a 40D, but my bra didnt fit right, so I got a DD and it fits great. But what I dont get is why I have such big boobs. Its doesnt run in my family. My boobs often cause back aches and when I take my bra off, I get a bad pain, it feels like the skin is streaching more then it should be. I always take my bra off at night and when I dont go out I barly ever wear one. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Another thing, I want to get them redused, but I dont wanna go though sergery, and I dont have the money to pay for them. Is there anything I can do to stop the pain, and make them smaller??

Big Boobs

Well I know some insurance will pay for reductions just not enlargements. B/c reductions is a medical necessity especially if its hurting your back.
Maybe wearing a sports bra would give more support?
im a guy and not really alot of knolege on this kinda thing but maybe you should look into so pills maybe if there are any if its that bad on your back. but anyways i hope u find a solution soon
Well, sexy and 17, if you are a guy you should not be posting on this forum. We have a women's forum for women to get women's answers from women.
That done, princess, let's get on with your issue. There were more breast reductions done in Europe and N. America last year than there were breast enhancements. It is medically recognized that over large chests creat a plethora of problems for their owners - from curvature of the spine to circulatory problems. Because of this, medical programs do cover the cost of the treatment. I cannot speak for what passes as medical insurance in Connecticut, or elsewhere in the States, but am aware that insurance will cover non-cosmetic breast surgeries. Surely your doctor, or plastic surgeon, have dealt with this issue before. If they diagnose this as a medical necessity, there will be some sort of coverage. What you describe here is certainly a case of medical necessity.
There are some important facts left out that your doctor will address. The biggest one being your total weight. If you weigh 150 and have this condition, there will be little question; if you weight 250, there may be some other issues. If you consider yourself to be overweight, that is the place to start. Diet and exercise will reduce all your measurements, including your breasts. I cannot and will not advise specifics over the net but I am certain that your doctor will address this issue before any other action will be recommended.
There is no other easy solution.
Thank you Brandye for the very informed advice. I wouldn't call myself overweight. Although I dont have a fatering belly. I'm 4 feet 11 inches and I weigh 140. So I think I'm gonna follow the exercize and diet advice, and if it doesn't help then I'll go to more extreme measers. Thank you again!
You are quite welcome. Given the new size info, most doctors would want you to slim down a bit first and then would help. 40DDs are a load to carry around on a 4'11" frame and would meet most prodessionals' criteria for "medical necessity."
Good luck with the weight reduction!!
Hi,
I just wanted to add that if you are only 140 lbs, are you sure you are wearing the correct bra size? I wasn't for years and my back hurt all of the time. I don't measure for my bra the way most people suggest. I measure around my rib cage and don't add any inches for the band. Then I add one cup size for every additional inch at the fullest part of my breasts. (I hope that makes sense!) I weigh around 160 and am 5'2". I wear a 32H and having the correct size and support has really cleared up my back problems and my breasts actually look a lot smaller under my clothes. Good luck!:)
