Ok so I have been shaving my pubic area for ever and hate having hair there. I am wondering (besides waxing or laser hair removal or any other liquid like nair) is there any way to get a clean shave that has no bumps or stubble? Plus I can't seem to get all the hair around the lips area. This drives me crazy! I want it to be smooth as a babies butt but I can't seem to get it that way. Nair and products like it irritate my skin and I can't use it (on legs wouldn't even try the other areas) wax hurts entirely too bad and I can't get it right anyways and have no money for laser hair removal. Any help would be great! Thanks!:D

Best way to shave your area??

Just search around...Its all over these boards.
Summerbreeze---search & think. Given all which is going on this should be your least likely concern......
STOP WASTING YOUR TIME.
You have much bigger issues to deal with.
Like with what's between your ears rather than what's between your thighs.
Haven' t you learned yet that catering to males only makes them worse?
Compromise, yes; cater, no.
Funny, I thought she asked a simple question about shaving. I don't see anything in her question about catering for males. I think you are making an assumption there, eek. Maybe she just likes the smooth feeling of being shaved. Some people do, you know.
Cyclefreak - she has another post elsewhere on here as well. I do know whereof I speak. Please, you should know by now that I do not counsel idly.
Ok, EEK, but I wasn't to know that. Maybe your response belonged on that thread.
No, cycle, my response belonged here. Shaving is the LAST thing she should be worrying about at this time.

according to who? You? Her question was about shaving HER area to enhance HER relationship, not yours. So instead of posting stuff about how women run things and women should walk all over their men...b/c after all, women rule right? Why not answer her question and understand that peoples views on relationships and how they please their partner is on them. Not all women want to, or think that they should walk all over their partners...I get that impression from you. (BTW that is fine w/ me b/c it is your relationship, but that would never fly in mine).
to summerbreeze, I completely understand what you are talking about. I hate pubic hair, so does my partner, and we tried a bunch of different things to make it as comfortable as possible during and after the shave.
Best thing that I have found is to shave with this stuff called Coochy Cream (link below). It leaves no rash and no itching. It is made specifically for shaving your body hair. Also, make sure to use a fresh razor when you shave. We prefer MACH III blades, but it can be expensive to use a new MACH III every time you shave. My wife is a little more sensative than I am, so she has to use a new blade every time, I can get a few shaves out of one. If you want to go the disposable razor route, which I do often and have no problems at all with, use gillette good news disposables.
Another thing you can try is this stuff called Bikini Zone. You can pick that up at Wal Mart and it will relieve a little of the itching, but the Cream is much better IMO.
Hope this helped

Dear Fock:
If you read the multiple posts by the OP on this particular day (dates) you would see there are MANY other issues to be dealt with then shaving. Therefore, the response is quite appropriate [as far as having other matter to concern herself with] such as the bf, his actions, her lack of basic body "information". Simply put, she needs to deal with infections and the relationship issues which are at hand, shaving is insignificant at this time.

Well hopefully she takes care of that, but at least now she can shave herself comfortably.

since we are on that subject...how bad does waxing hurt. I think I would suffer through it (except on my balls) if there was like a home kit that worked well. But I swear by the coochy cream.

But I swear by the coochy cream.
Okay, I used a home kit and it was a disaster. I ended up with a few infected hair follicles just on my leg and quit. Later, I went and tried a professional wax. Why? They can see which way the hair patterns are growing and the correct angle to pull at without hesitation. Does it hurt? No. Its a fast ouch...I have done more damage to my legs and bikini/groin area with a good razor! The nice part is waxing from a professional lasts about 8 weeks (and no your not a furry monster in between) and it's one last think to worry about before going out especailly during the summer. The ONLY area I found sensitive was the "mons". I cannot stand the upkeep involved with a razor for me; therefore, waxing is a good alternative with no skin sensitiveness afterwards! I just found that you cannot go in salt water that day; after? All should be fine.
Summerbreeze,
Suggestions: When shaving use something like Neutrogena bathing oil and afterwards if you aquire those litte red irrtating bumps try mixing Cortizone and Desitin. That not only takes the bumps away in a few days (if that) but keeps you smooth as well.
Good luck, Jason's Lady :)
Better yet, just trim your fur. Saves money, time, and no need for more than a small pair of scizzors and a comb. No muss. No fuss. No trips to the salon. No pain. No meds. No creams. Takes 5 minutes max, then a quick rinse and off you go. If you want to make it extra fun - have your partner do the trimming and then take a shower together.
ok thank you :)
I've been shaiving for nearly 2 years now (using a body hair trimmer #2 blade) but recently the left side of my 'crotch' has started to itch altho this is only when i'm really warm and my penis hangs to the left - i dunno what to put on it to make it stop, my first thought was baby oil....

DO NOT use oil! Try "Cortaid" or similar anti-itch medication available off the drugstore shelf.
