Hello All,
I am curious as to know what time of the month in relation to ovulation is best for intercoarse where we don't get pregnant. I know it's VERY dangerous 4 days before the period and during the period, but what about the day after? Please, any help would be appreciated enourmously.
Miken

There is no safe day, you should always use some sort of Birth control.
Women dont always ovulate on the same day every month.. cycles vary, especially in younger women.
You've gotten some great advice. There is not a safe time. Even if you can plan out your cycle acurately, you can still get pregnant any day of the month.
Use birth control -EVERY TIME.
If you are going to indulge in adult behavior - you had better be adult about it.
... Just to contradict rules of odds.
My wife's ovulation is on clock-work accurate 30-day cycle, and never took the pill. For 12 years, we used the one-week-before-to-one-week-after principle, during which it was either "covered" intercourse or no penetration. Never had any problems.
When we decided that time was "ripe" for a little one to join us, we pulled all the stops, conceived in the first month, most likely in the first week of her cycle (during the "week-after" ) - a particularly stressful period for her at work plus at the start of another major move (expatriation), which probably contributed to screwing up her normal cycle.
So though we lucked up for 12 years with what we thought was a reasonably safe way to go about this, our 3.5 yo is at same time living proof that there just isn't any "safe rule" other than determined birth control. :p
