For me, there are a couple of specific times when I think it is important to mastrubate:
1. Before I leave for a job interview: If the interviewer is a hot woman, mastrubation beforehand makes me more sexually relaxed so the hormones are not in control.
2. Before a long drive: Long drives can be boring, and sometimes the mind wanders to things that are more fun. On on occasion, I totally missed my exit because I was thinking about my girlfriend while driving. Now I mastrubate before long drives just in case.
3. Before a family vacation. Who knows if I'll be able to get privacy on vacation? It's best to mastrubate just before leaving so I can last longer.
