Just wondering... I heard that birth control pills (or rather the ones i'm taking at least - meliane - don't know about the others) can cause an increase in your cholesterol level. Has anyone heard anything about this?
I am 23 yrs old and it was found that i have high cholesterol. i was put on meliane after i did an op for endometriosis - but since i'm also sexually active wouldn't really like to go off the pill.
any opinions??
(i know most will say speak to d doc - but just wondering if anyone here knows sthing since gynae is VERY expensive!!!)
There is a statistical linkage with blood clots but not with Cholesterol. With the endometriosis and high cholesterol as complicating factors, do have a long talk with the gyn.
There are many ways to control the cholesterol and some may require lifestyle changes - mainly diet and exercise.
