Since switching from Loestrin Fe to Yaz about a month ago I have noticed that my breasts have gotten a LOT more tender. Handling them, they almost feel bruised, although there are no marks. They palpate as normal. I haven't made any changes in bras and was wondering, before I go out and buy something with more support, if that might be one of the side-effects of the new pill.

BC pill and breast tenderness- any correlation?

Could be. Hang on until your next period. Many women who feel breast tenderness also have more cramps. There is also a possibility that your body is missing the iron sulfate with the loestrin. Every BCP has its share of side-effects in different women.
Why did you change? Many women do try a few pills before finding one that is acceptable.
I have already had one period on it... should I wait another one? I have had no cramping, just the usual back soreness the day before, and I eat a TON of spinach etc. so I'm not sure that the iron is the issue.
I switched because Yaz is covered by my insurance policy whereas Loestrin is not, and I had a few bad issues with the Loestrin. I've been very happy with the Yaz thus far- I haven't experienced the same bloaty, weight-gain issues that I had with the Loestrin and I seem to be losing the weight that the Loestrin put on. I'm hoping I don't have to switch again.
Keep the pill going....I believe the Iron is just a marketing ploy by the manufacturer. Each pill can give different side effects. Also as you get older, you will find the onset on your period, symptoms, will change also.
