use a condom. it may seem redundant to some, but when you're talking about safety, redundency is a good thing. for a guy it is more pleasurable without one, but not enough so to risk getting you pregnant. no birth control is 100% effective, and that includes the pill, even if it is taken as directed, as in the exact time every day which is hard to do. plus condoms provide protection against STDs, in case something happened in the past or does happen sometime or whatever. if he's not getting enough pleasure with regular condoms, maybe suggest he try the ultra-thin condoms. they're just as durable (according to the box) and you get more feeling with them.
