why do we have pubes at all?
I guess it's got something to do with a legacy of our fur. And perhaps some sort of protection of intimate parts... But protection under the armpits doesn't make sense to me... :confused:

I mean those who have relatives that came from Asia and aren't mixed with European or American or other nonasian races.
Azerbaijan and Armenia are Asian countries. People born there are Asian and their race Caucasoid. I know women from those countries who have a lot of body hair as well as pubic hair. Mongolia is in Asia and the dominant race there is Mongoloid. Another Asian country is India. The population of India is made up of Mongoloids, Cuacasoids and a third race known as Negroids and of course there are several mixes of these three. There is an entire school of social anthropology which refutes race all together.
My personal observation has been that Caucasoids of either sex tend to have more body hair as well as more pubic hair. Negroids sometimes are hirsute and Mongoloids tend to have very little body or pubic hair.
In Japan where where almost everyone belongs to the Mongoloid race (that is if you believe that race exists) the Western (read Caucasoid) type thick pubic bush is considered sexy and desireable in a woman. I read an article several years ago which mentioned that the most popular cosmetic surgeries in Japan are surgery to make the eyes "rounder," breast augmentation and pubic hair implants.
Pubic hair helps to spread our pheromones and the better they spread the better we become aroused--or so the theory goes.

I would agree with DancingDoc. I would say it is more than likely a hereditary or genetic thing.
I spent six months in Taiwan and the Phillipines. Asian women have such soft and straight pubic hair........as lovely as the rest.
