Well, I thought this was pretty interesting...
My boyfriend was fingering me on the couch, and out of nowhere, the dog started whining, and went to the cat and tried mounting him!
I don't know if there's a scent released or something during sexual encounters, but I found that to be more than a little odd!
It's not sexual for the dog or cat. Dog humping; it's an act for attention, domination, or due to the excitement of the noises/commotion in the room.

My ex's dog came and started liking me when we were having sex one time, it was kinda funny but odd cuz her dog never licked me and didnt even like me.
That sounds a bit rough on the cat!
Sometimes hormones are released that can get a dog roused. When a female goes into heat, its like a womens period, but hormones are released that makes males go crazy to find the female. so if you released hormones of some kind when aroused, or if you were on your period you could have aroused the dog
