Serious question. What are my options if I want to remove my anus and crack hairs?
I know this sounds VERY VERY stupid, but I would like to know how stupid. What would happen if I burned them off? A friend of mine used to burn his nipple hairs off (I can't even imagine plucking your nipple hairs off.), so burning my crack hair sounds valid. I'm not very hairy, so it's impossible that I would catch on fire. But I would do this in the shower anyway, to be safe.
Other than feedback on that crazy idea, what are my options?

Absolutely do not burn them off unless you want to be in the burn unit at the nearest hospital, you destroy tissue and cause serious damage &infection issues.
Go and get waxed if it bothers you & don't use Nair either, chemical treatments cause chemical burns. Or explore laser hair removal.
What's the ballpark figure for laser hair removal? Obviously this isn't something my health insurance is gonna cover..
I don't have very much. I'm 21, but you'd think I were 15 with the amount of body hair I have.
I know as a woman; whole body--full legs, arms, bikini line (and butt) is $800 and takes 4 hours. So I'd think about $150, also there is electrolysis. The cost will depend on where you live, check the credentials of who is doing it. Try waxing first though....PLEASE do not burn the area--trust me a really bad idea.
I won't burn. I wasn't really gonna do it.. well, there was probably a 5% chance. But I wanted every reason to turn that 5% into a 0%.
I'm a moron to ask this... but with waxing, are you spreading the wax over the skin so it hardens around the hair.. then you peel it off? I think there's tape involved.. right? Sorry, but I just don't even know these basic terms. It looks so painful.. but I'm willing to put up with that pain if it's only for that instant.
How long until hair grows back for waxing? And what about for laser?
You are correct about the waxing...get it done by a professional. The pain lasts moments and there is a bit of soreness for a day. It will last a few months since you have fine/sparse hair.
Laser is permanent, it may need to be touched up at times it depends on the hair. Get the consult first, and see which you prefer. A lot depends on the laser strength, done by a MD or technician. Before you do anything, go see someone for a laser & electrolysis consult! If you don't want it done, and you want to wax, then try it!
