i recently had sex (for the second time in my life), i've recently started a new contraceptive pill and i asked my boyf to wear a condom just in case, which he did. We were at it for a long time and he still wasn't able to cum, he complained the condom was 'putting him off' but he didn't take it off. I wanted to please him but it just felt impossible. He did cum eventually but i was just wondering if is normal for someone not used to wearing condoms, for it to have this effect on them?

it's normal for some and don't let him use that dirtbag's excuse to not use a condom. it doesn't matter if it takes him longer to orgasm. he'll get used to it. you're on BC to avoid getting pregnant, but it's not 100% effective. using it and a condom isn't either, but it's MUCH closer.

it could be normal for him. and the condom may have been doing it too ( i dunno, has he used the same kind before? im just saying..maybe the kind he used was irritating him or somethin..)
but dont take the condom off, just in case ;)
i was guessing that maybe he was your first time too...im also guessing that maybe he has had sex before..

hence the constant warnings to use condoms even if on the pill

yes he was my first time and this was the second time. In all fairness to him he was completely understanding and wore the condom even though he obviously wasn't comfortable.
He has had sex before, he had a steady girlfriend for about a year before me, apparently she was on the pill and they didn't use condoms (which doesn't bother me, he's gonna have to put up with condoms with me LOL) he did mention that he hadn't used a condom before, maybe it just takes getting used to? what do you guys think?

Maybe suggest he wear a condom while masturbating or something... to get a little more familiar w/ the feel.
Also, condoms sometimes need extra lube since they cause a higher friction. Get a bottled lube and use some on/in you and a little inside the condom. This will make it feel a little better for him.
sorry i didn't mention it in my first reply, i was in a hurry and just wanted to express my feelings that a condom is a necessary part of sexual activity until you're in a position where getting pregnant is not totally undesirable or unthinkable.
anyway, to improve the sensation he gets during sex while still being safe, i have a few types that have worked for me that he may want to try. Try any one or all of the following, maybe getting a three pack of one each time you need new condoms:
Trojan Ultra Thin - these are thinner than other (Trojan brand) condoms, but Trojan claims they're as durable as regular condoms. I've gone through two twelve packs and haven't ever had one break, so i believe them.
Trojan Twisted Pleasure - these have a twist at the closed end that is supposed to help stimulate the guy and the girl somehow. I just finished a box of these, and they're alright, but not the best.
Trojan Very Sensitive - These are larger close to the closed end so that it slides up and down around the head of the penis stimulating it better than a tight condom that doesn't allow movement between the penis and condom. These are great. Maybe my favorite. it's between them and the Ultra Thin.
Trojan Shared Sensation - these are similar to the Very Sensitive but also have ridges and bumps that are supposed to stimulate the female partner as well. Also one of my more favorite
Trojan Ultra Ribbed - These have ribs that are supposed to help stimulate both sex partners. I couldn't feel the ribs personally, but they're worth a try.
Trojan Ultra Pleasure - According to the Trojan website these have a special design to help increase stimulation as well. I want to try these, they sound interesting. It'll probably be my next box
As you can tell, i'm partial to Trojan. It's probably because of the bad rumors that I've heard in high school, in boy scouts, then in my fraternity that Durex has a tendency to break easier. I think this is just a rumor or they wouldn't be competing well with Trojan. But they have similar types to Trojan as well if you're partial to that brand. Just test them out and see what's best for him and you.
(I didn't realize i'd had so much sex...most of the ones i've tried have been twelve packs, and i've bought more than one twelve of ultra thins and extra sensitive. it's all been between three partners over three years though, but still, life is good)

I personally like both of these. I know my girlfriend likes the twisted pleasure ones and I like the ultra thins quite a bit.
