For all those in the US...and those who are not...

Please do not forget to get out there today and vote...it's imperative! And to all those outside the US wish us well!

As an expatriate ( which is not the same as ex patriot ) I can say the entire world is watching and hoping that the right choice is made. Unfortunately since I changed TV service the only US TV news I have is Fox. That is difficult to watch.

Fox kills me! LOL! I do hope the right choice is made for both; the good of the US and the world.

..... and, after the last eight years, most literate people in the world are watching very closely. CNN International will be on many tellies all night long.

Grrr now I miss out on my daytime "Soapies" 6 hours of American election stuff on a NZ TV Channel.. how rude is that lol

Lol I Rather Watch Fox then all the other news channels I get

to me it seems a dead cert that obama is going to win everyones following he crowd of celebs, and what thier friends think, i also think theyre trying to make big history (which im proud to be apart of , even though im in the UK) , im now interested in were , who ever wins, takes the US next :]

we Made It! We Have Broke The Gridlock Of The Us Government And Can Shift The Paradym! Now, We Shall Be Able To Work With The World As A Globalized Nation Without A Dictatorship! :) :) :)

YES! We made it! And he knows!:D

There are people from 18 countries BESIDES USA in my work. It was so touching when I went to work this morning and people congratulated me and my country and told how optimistic they are and how much they hope that our new president is successful!

This morning, I had my porridge, toast and tea watching Obama's acceptance speech on CNN International. Importantly, I could have seen/heard it on BBC, Deutsche Welle, Agence France .....
You get the picture; all the world is interested in the US election. And in Europe quite relieved.
In 2000, we knew we would miss Clinton (we do not care about politicians sex lives over here) but Bush's da was pretty good so we welcomed him. After his re-election the Mirror's front page was his picture with the question, "How could 58 million Americans be so dumb?"

America has regained leadership instantly as the first major nation in the world to elect a racial minority head of government. This is tantamount to the Germans electing a Turk; the French an Algerian; the Dutch an Indonesian; the Japanese, a Korean; the UK a Pakistani. All unthinkable. Fujimori in Peru? An aberration and who cares?

Only in America ...... and that is how and why the US leads the free world. Despite your crazy electoral system understood by few Europeans who really studied US Constitutional history.

I believe we can now become part of the globalized nations! The greatest fear, even having been a republican in the past, was the consequences of Bush's large Government which McCain would follow. The lack of oversight or deregulation in the private sector had crashed pensions within the US & devalued homes--the significance is very few have the monetary means to afford to continue yet we continue to save every other Nation, forcing "our" Democracy.

I have to say; I was proud to see people turn out for the elections, many waited in lines for hours, and I was fearful McCain would gain office with Palin. If not so extreme, it would be nearly tolerable; however, the financial gaps have grown so vast the "wealthy" have hit the top 1% & falls among the Billionaires which have stripped out Corporate America and defrauded the stakeholders. In the US, we have the Ultra-rich and the ultra poor.

Now we have a man who is willing to "talk" to the world and use common sense in decision making prior to acting with force. To boot; he is bi-racial; therefore he not only belongs to those of color but to those of Caucasian descent. He is the representative of what the US is & upcoming for the future. The greatest factor with the Republicans were their Candidate was on the verge of not being eligible for Presidency secondary to age. It was beginning to show & the US needs a man who is sharp in decision making without having a "senior moment". I only wish his Grandmother lived to see 11/04/08.

This will be the first opportunity to have the US taken seriously again!
