I've been in a relationship with same guy for about 6 years. We started using artificial lubracant about 2 years ago more for our longer sessions. Now I notice I always need it before we start. So my question is, does prolonged use of artificial lubes mess with what I produce naturally?

The water based "personal lubricants" (best known are K-Y and SurgiLube) will not affect your own lube production. There are good reasons for these being on the market; you seem to be one of them. Too many women simply put lube on the entrance. Use an applicator to insert deeply and fully with a little at the entrance. Then normal thrusting will continually replace what you need.
Some of the others have substances that could interfere and some, I just plain do not know.
