It's not uncommon at all to lose some (or all...lol) stiffness when putting on a condom. So your guy is not in any way strange or unusual. Just do a demonbuttercup suggests, help him stay aroused or maybe even put the condom on for him (I've even used a technique where you use your mouth to put on the condom). Also once the condom is on, remember, any stiffness lost can be regained. It won't impair the use of the condom.

could be anxiety....some say thats why it "kills the mood"
maybe you could tease him and help him put on the condom. that way he still gets stimulation and doesn't feel embarrassed.

idk how old you 2 are or how active, but he might not even know about his own body and what to expect, you probably know more than he does just because you came on here and did some research, might have even been Embarrassed to say that’s y it happened but there is a small chance it was some other thing….im still sticking w/with I said first...kinda slow 2night so you might have to wait a while for a second opinion
