Yesterday morning I got a Brazilian bikini wax for the first time; however, it wasn't my first time getting a bikini wax. The previous summer I got a regular bikini wax done, and I liked the results, so this year I decided to have all of the hair removed.
The woman who performed the wax assured me that the redness would be gone within 24 hours at the most. The redness is not gone; my mons is especially tender; many little white bumps have formed on my mons; and the skin in that area feels very tight. Has anyone else experienced this following a wax?
I am concerned about the white bumps. They do not appear to be pimples because there is no puss. I doubt that they are ingrown hairs because it has only been 24 hours, and my hair does not grow in that fast.
Does anyone have a guess at what they may be? Has anyone else had a similar experience?
I did go swimming yesterday, so perhaps a chemical in the pool irritated the region. Is this likely? I just gently exfoliated the region, but that seems to have made matters worse.
Is it also possible that it is a result of having very sensitive skin, which I do happen to have?
I have had it done and within 2 hours all redness is gone. Try washing well and applying some cortisone cream. The Mons is the most tender area to do.
Well, it's been over 36 hours, and it's a little less red, but the white bumps are still there. I've washed it several times with a mild soap to no avail. I'm hoping that they'll go away on their own.
They should, it sounds like the small white bumps which some women develop from shaving, it's just under the tissue and should resolve on their own.

No, It does not hurt. It's mildly uncomfortable. LOL! Definitely no need for Advil, I thought the labia was going to the most tender, but it was not...just the Mons and inner thigh...no real pain!
