Advice - Dry Vagina

Evening all,

Have a bit of a prediciment at the moment with my girlfriend, she has stopped producing vaginal fluid when getting arroused, when i say stopped i dont actually mean shes doesnt get wet anymore, its not as much as she used to.

Also, when we have sex it gets uncomfortable for her as you could imagine, we have to stop and she gets pissed of with herself and thinks i am annoyed. This is putting her under a lot of stress as she doesnt know whats going on, shes 17.

Any advice?

The personal lube market is huge - for a good reason. Makes me wonder how she feels about menstrual cups or other modern conveniences. BTW, the pill causes dryness in some women for a spell.

I think she just got a bit concerned as to why she isnt getting as wet as she thinks she should be as she isnt knowledged well in this department. Thanks for the tip regarding the pill Brandye.
Aye i suppose it could be the hormones from the pill, but she told me shes not been getting as wet as she used to for a while, so it may not be that. The fact is, she is wet at the begining and then it just fizzles out and goes as dry as Jesus's Sandles!
Maybe she should call the prescriber of the pill and talk with the office...see what they say.
Could be in part her body adjusting to the hormones. For the moment get a tube of KY and make it a sensual insertion...that should work. Lot's of water, keeping hydrated properly is essential, and the more she stresses over this the more difficult (self) lubrication becomes. Much like men; stress over an erection and ability to perform--you most likely will fail. Same with women...worry & you "dry up"...
May be caused by meds (such as decongestants), nerves, etc. Use a good lube..

Perhaps have her schedule an appointment with her gyn. The fact that she is so stressd about it makes it much worse...imagine a guy who can get it up, he stresses thinks it pisses his gf off (even if it doesnt) and it causes it to happen more and more.

For now...use lube. Lots of it. There are also VCF's which I have heard work pretty well since it has spermicide, and it acts as lube as well. I have also heard about a thing called rePHresh...which is for people who generally suffer from vaginal dryness which may help as well.

Sera,

She thinks using lube is defying the object of getting aroused lol. She has just recently gone on the Contraceptive pill ( Tuesday last week )

My girlfriend has the same thing except she is on the shot, and has been since she was ~16 I think. it just takes a lot of playing and teasing to get her wet enough.

LOL Jesus's sandals!

When I have this problem... my b/f will either go down on me real quick... or sometimes I lube him. Start giving him a HJ and lube up his penis real good. He enjoys the sensation...and it helps w/ insertion.

She's not on any birth control? If so, then vaginal dryness is the LEAST of your worries!

Just use the lubricant and reapply as needed. She's not a machine and neither she nor you can expect hey presto sopping wet and aroused. It doesn't work like that. There is ebb and flow in all 'systems'. Roll with it, baby.

Please ignore double post.

Yeah yeah yeah - so her thinking's screwy. Using lubricant is better than rubbing your penis with sandpaper! And you may tell her I said so. Arousal's is to get her to orgasm whether she floods the bed or not. Just use the damn lube. Jeez.
In my opinion its not happening too much, shes just got it in her head that she isnt wet enough. And once its in your head, its hard to get it out, gonna order some lube this morning.
Perhaps she is too immature for you?

Water Based Lubies.

This has happened to me before. Not sure of the cause, but he just went down on me first, and we used lube, and everything went just swell.

Sexual things yes, i am her more or less first sexual partner. Ordered some Durex play this morning so lets see how that goes.

Like others have said, it could be the birth control, it could be other things, but regardless, you two should be using lube to prevent the chaffing. She should be drinking enough water to stay hydrated as that will effect things down below.

Perhaps she isn't getting the sort of stimulation she needs to stay wet after the initial entrance? Since she is fairly new at all of this, she may not know what feels good to her. A really REALLY wonderful site is www.the-clitoris.com and it has all sorts of information about female sexual response and may be something the two of you could look at together.
