I'm new to the site, and at 27, still new to sex. Yes, I'm 13 years from being the "40 year old virgin", so I guess I'm finally up for getting some experience. Which brings me to my question.
How many here have used AdultFriendFinder and how do you rate it? Naturally I'm paranoid about STDs though I'm sure having any potential partners checked out before anything goes down may be a turn off. Course, I'll be using condoms for every encounter, but aside from obvious physical symptoms is there anything else I should be on the lookout for?
Or is getting checked for STDs before getting physical a pretty common occurance in this day and age?

If you're in the U.S. you have a few options for free testing. They all offer HIV tests and/or overall STD tests (HIV included), all totally confidential also.. :
- go to your Doctor
- look up the Health Dept., most have free testing clinics or mobile sites- no insurance needed that I know of
- Planned Parenthood- highly recommend it and you can go without health insurance. Appointments can be requested online.
- Free clinics- no insurance needed
I'm not sure where you are, but there should be a way to make it happen without having to pay. Congratulations, by the way, for doing the right thing!
Thanks for the info. Would you or anyone happen to know the going rate for STD tests? From what I've checked online it can be quite expensive for each test.
Or is there a comprehensive test that doesn't break the bank?

By all means, get tested. It's standard procedure for folks I know. I'm not sure how casual Adult Friend Finder is, but you two should just go get tested together. Otherwise, don't take the risk. You might feel like you have some making up to do for lost time. But anyone you're not sure is safe is not worth the time, or your life, potentially. Not trying to be dramatic, just factual. Makes the sex experience exponentially better, too!
