Okay, so I had been diagnosed with low test a while back, started taking an AI and test booster. (Arimatase Inhibitor to prevent conversion to estro) Anyways, didnt give a significant increase to libido. Noticed I would have erections more frequently, but I wasnt like OMFG I need to do someone right now!
Then I started doing squats, which not only increases GH levels in the human body, but is supposed to increase test levels as well. Sadly though, my libidio has disappeared, I mean I cant even remember the last time I got hard without massive amounts of touching.
I was able to hook up with a girl while I was at a friends party earlier this week, but I didnt have any urge to go past making out, in fact rather than engage in sex (of any kind) I actually just wanted to cuddle with her. WTF is wrong with me? I mean to the resident MD's does this sound normal. Is this even due to a lack of testosterone cuz my depression has cleared up (guessing it was testosterone based depression cuz I went in to the docs, and they said my levels were back to normal.)
I cant go to the doctors cuz I have no med or school insurance, and its getting severely frustrating.

Ducy,
You have been having more strange stuff. Why not drop all the supplements you are taking and dial back to reasonable workouts and start from the beginning?
I did. I went through a cleansing program, and stayed off the supps for about 2 months. Just slept, ate healthy, and I stayed away from the gym.
Then a little while back I started the AI and after I started to feel better depression wise, I began working out more. Thats when the libido dropped.
For the record all I am taking is protein a multivitamin and milk thistle for liver health.
Edit: oh and 60mg blend of 6, 17-keto-etiocholeve-3-ol tetrahydropyranol
3, 17-keto-etiochol-triene and 2,5,7-tryihydroxy-4'-methoxyflavone.
Basically the chemical names for the aromatase inhibitor and test boosting.
DUCY,
Impotence is a side effect of Milk Thistle extract!!!!!
Stop the damned supplements. Either find a reputable naturopath or herbalist or stay away from all that crap!!!!
Really? Wow i really did not know that
The US NIH contracted a study several years ago. You can find it on line. Because it is over five years old, there are some caveats. They did find some slight, not statistically significant, improvement in SOME liver function. Impotence is a documented side effect.
You are learning why doctors are circumspect with supplements. Anything that can do good can do harm.
> > Stop the damned supplements. Either find a reputable naturopath or herbalist or stay away from all that crap!
Who is prescribing all these supplements? If you are self-prescribing then you have a fool for a patient. If you are taking the suggestions or recommendations of some gym employee without knowing his/her credentials you are taking major risks, as you have been describing here and elsewhere.
If you are spending money at a health food store, then talk to the certificated herbalist, not a salesclerk. Herbs, like medicines have side affects and adverse interactions with other drugs. Unless you have done the research, then it seems to me you are operating on wishful thinking and this can get you into trouble. An herbalist can assist. These are often the owners/managers of health food stores or knowledgeable employee. Sales clerks are not who you should be talking to except at the checkout register.
What the heck is the point of all the supplements? What's wrong with simply working out to be healthy? A well balanced diet and multivitamin adjusted for the necessary calories is more than enough for 99.9999999999999999999999% of the people in the world when combined with exercise. If you aren't an athlete for a living(and a very large amount of those don't bother with those things either) why take risks with your health trying to push your body beyond it's natural limits? There's no monetary gain, there is no extra "achievement" above what you would have reached on a normal diet because the true benefit of fitness goals(assuming one is already healthy) for most people is simply the mental discipline learned and confidence that comes with knowing what you can do.
There are several reasons for supplements. The field of work I am entering requires a certain physique. I have a lot of problems gaining lean body mass, and cutting fat. Im a mix between a mesomorph and ectomorph, but I got neither of the good attributes from either type.
The supplements were recommended by a few different sports nutritionists and trainers I know...Not just some sales clerks or gym guy. But I did not just randomly say ok I will take whatever you say works. I have done my research on the products as well. For instance, I was once told of a substance called tren extreme. Everyone under the sun took it, and they were gaining tons of muscle. Rather than just jump on the bandwagon and take it, I did my research and found out it was a pro-hormone. Two hydrogen molecules from its cousing trenbolone (steroid). Taking it would have really destroyed my manhood.
The protein supplementation is for muscle growth. To maximize anabolism post workout, I drink a protein shake. And to prevent muscle break down throughout the night I drink a shake before bed. I am aware than taking any amount of protein past the muscle recovery and maintainance, will cause your body to secret excess calcium. Although it is not an incredibly high amount I am still careful as too how much I ingest.
The Multivitamin is a combination of pills. Antioxidants to help with free radicals released during exercise, vitamins such as a b d etc to help ensure proper functions, potassium to prevent cramping, a digestive blend of acidophilus and other beneficial bacterias to ensure proper protein breakdown and uptake, fiber, and finally milk thistle which was just to ensure proper liver protection (this was because this multi is meant to be taken with another product by the same manufacturer...a pro testosterone supplement that contained a few prohormone type products. I believe they were methylated which is hard on the liver and therefore thistle was included in the multi)
Ducy..stop this now...this is nonsense. Go & get Muscle & Fitness Magazine and follow it.
I have watched many build the hard way--doing & pushing limits. One is myself, another my brother, another is a friend who is a personal trainer w/his own studio.
Others involved in the supplements & steroids? NUTS...only look good for a short period of time then they loose it. If we don't work out, we don't loose the muscle!
You don't get a good body out of a bottle...it take time to work & to break through plateaus.
I know that you dont get a good body out of bottles. I am not take hgh or testosterone 1 injections. I am fairly natural (aside from the AI/test booster) but that is taken for another reason all together.

I had friends who went into that...you are taking the other stuff for a medical reason. Just watch your protein intake...too high & very low carb can do some real danger to you. If you want more info. PM me. Just do it the natural way; why? It stays!
I believe you stated previously that you were wanting to be a fitness trainer.
That job does *NOT* require a "fitness model" physique. That job requires you to be friendly, knowledgeable, and fit yourself. If the client/employer demands a fitness model physique, then it is because they are attempting to cater to a very superficial crowd with unrealistic expectations. You stated that your genetic makeup lies in the middle, without the benefits of either, so why attempt to force your body to do things it naturally doesn't with supplements? Medication and self-medication(even in the form of supplements) easily leads to an endless spiral of one thing attempting to fix a side effect of another while introducing a new one. Heck, wouldn't plastic surgery be less harmful at that point?
The amount of people in this country who are put off by a gym filled with fitness models and meat heads greatly outnumber the former, and simply require that their trainer be capable of motivating them and helping them find something that works for them.
You said you have a problem where you don't eat enough for your workouts because you aren't hungry. This tells me - you know enough to know that your body needs a certain amount of food to build more muscle, and instead of just arranging meals and eating them whether or not you're hungry when you *know* your body needs it- you take (possibly) unregulated supplements. Don't trainers always emphasize mind over body? Hell, I'd think out of all the things someone attempting bodybuilding puts themselves through with so many reps when their body is screaming to stop - simply eating when you know you must would be by far the easiest thing.
This is straying from the topic some, but what exactly is the point of being a bodybuilder or fitness model? The occupation doesn't *do* anything for you besides increase your food bill and take up your time limiting other pursuits and for the vast majority of people, genetic walls are hit and they make dangerous choices to pursue a goal that didn't take their own genetic makeup into enough account. Your specific choices led you to complain of impotency during a man's sexual prime. Does that put things into perspective?
I understand the whole workout high thing and all of the physiological and psychological benefits of regular exercise - but have never understood those specific pursuits.
This is the opinion of someone who spent most of their life to the early 20's on a field, in a gym, or in a weight room training for international and Olympic competition and was very successful at it. I understand the commitment necessary for athletic pursuits very well, and I do not understand why people would ever take such drastic risks for something like bodybuilding besides a lack of confidence and attempts to compensate in hopes of increasing their ego. Once one is very physically fit and healthy, why not simply apply the same attitude the board and you yourself have advocated towards your penis size?
Yes personal trainers dont have to be ridiculously huge and have 2 percent bodyfat. But I want to go into either training bodybuilders and powerlifters, or open my own business. If I do the former, it would require a "look" because you do not train a bodybuilder when you yourself are only 6'1 158 pounds.
The latter, in order to really succeed would need to target the upper class of society. Of course, no only are these people rich and mostly lazy, but all in all are fairly shallow and fall into the easy misconception that if you are big, then you are a good trainer.
Two of my trainer friends, one is an ex powerlifter who competes in bodybuilding competitions (amateur. nothing grotesquely huge) He trains the elite people in the rich parts of southern california. My other buddy, skinny, healthy looking, but the best he has achieved so far is manager at a 24. His business failed after about 4 years because he could not aquire enough clients. Many would not give him the time of day. (To be honest he is the smartest man I have ever met, but I could see how many people wouldnt believe him since his advice is on musclebuilding yet he is so small)
I do not understand the want to get gigantic. I do want to put on mass, but it is out of a desire to grow and be stronger. I am not looking to be the next mr olympia, but I want to be about 180 pounds with a low double digit bodyfat. (currently at 16% would like to go down to 12% for cosmetic reasons).
My impotence is related to something that I believe to be totally unrelated. It has been going on for months now. The low test has been fairly consistent for about 8 months, and my drive had taken a dump for a while. The fact that my libido is absolutely gone is unknown to me. The milk thistle was being taken for about 3 months and then it just went away. Seems odd, discontinued the thistle, and still have felt no increase in libido. In fact I cant remember when I last masturbated.
I am going in for blood work soon, and have been talking to a few people outside the bored. Some who have suffered simlair dips and dives, and some who have even suffered the same exact thing as me as well (0 libido after starting a routine that is meant to increase hormone levels)
Milk thistle is used for liver protection while you're on an oral cycle. Are you sure you're not taking anything of the sort? If so, you can try Nolva, 20mg for 2-4 weeks which should kick your natural test production up a notch.
ahh a fellow bb. I was not taking an oral cycle of anything. I was taking the thistle because of a cleanse i was doing. Nolvadex was suggested to me many times but i am against it because i have already tried novadex xt by gaspari. I dont need to have two different blockers at the same time. I currently started a 8 week cycle of mass fx and the only reason I have considered it is because there is no PCT required nor is it hard on the liver like Hdrol or spawn. So far libido is up and my appetite has returned. which is very nice. Also i have done my reseach and i have been considering it for about a month so yea.
FERGAWDSAKE, SEE THE ABOVE AND GET THE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THIS STUFF OFF THIS BOARD. I will stack my fitness level up against anyone on this Board - Male or Female, young or old (like me) - and I stated above my problems with this stuff. Too many young aspiring studs are here and they will try anything to bulk up a concave chest.
The only drugs we should be discussing are those affecting sex and sexual response. I am certain there are many Boards for you guys to swap potions to poison your bodies.
