Polls may only be posted in the Polling Station by the moderator, with the exception of the forum "Members Own Polls" where Senior Members (only) are allowed to post polls.
These measures are there to avoid the posting of multiple (sometimes poorly constructed) polls being scattered around the board by newcomers who are not yet familiar with the existing content of the board; it has nothing to do with intelligence or otherwise!
All members may request a poll to be posted (as it clearly states in the intro to the forum) - they only have to ask!
