Not sure I follow you Brandye. Are you saying Tiger is a sex addict or are you saying it is a misapplication of the term based on what we know from the media?
Personally, I have issues with the "Any addiction is the need or want for something to an extent that it interferes with normal relationships" concept of addiction.
Is work an addiction? It causes a lot of problems in many relationships. Is sex an addiction in every case of adultery? I find that hard to agree with. Also, I find it hard to buy the concept that there's an addiction which can be totally determined by another person (e.g. the spouse that only wants to have sex for reproductive purposes and no other. That person's spouse is a sex addict? Huh????)
Is money an addiction? People fight over money more than anything else and is a constant conflict in marital relationships (or so I hear, I'm not married myself, but I recall it being an issue in my parent's marriage which I did observe in person).
Please clarify.
