When i read your post, the only clear message I got was that "Aiden" only contacts you when it's convenient for him. The fact that he didn't introduce you to his friends would irk me as well, and goes to show that he is either socially inept, or views you as someone that won't be around long. How young is this guy anyway (I don't know your age, so the relative age you gave in your post doesn't help)?

You probably only find yourself wanting him, because, as you said at the beginning of your post, you like attention and he isn't giving you the full attention you want. I don't want to be too judgmental after knowing so little, but I would just drop the guy.
