As Brandye said, it affects 1% or 2% of women, so probabilities are low. Why panick when you are 98% possibility to go wrong? Say, I'm degreeing in Computer Engineering, but I don't check username and password because it doesn't enter (ok that was a cheap joke but it gives the idea).
IF we'll notice that there could be a physical problem we'd instantly go to the Doc. I'm not THAT stupid. BUT, I'll try the more probable and common firstly, as logic suggests.
If I have headache for weeks it could be cervical problem, vision problem or brain cancer (and others). Which is the first you'd check out?
