I agree with most of what's been presented.
I've dated someone who was multi orgasmic and whose enthusiasm peaked even higher on a monthly basis. When she got on the pill, everything was toned down a few orders of magnitude. Most of the little things that indicated her excitement or arousal level disappeared and her facial expressions during foreplay changed from lustful to caring. After one or two orgasms, she'd say that she was done and that she just wanted me to hold her or cuddle. This was a far cry from the frequent marathons often sparked by simple smiles.
She also only wanted intercourse and kissing each others lips. Any sex act without us being as close as possible lost most appeal to her, including even kisses on her neck. The few days her pill is on the placebo cycle, the rest of her body becomes more responsive again and there's a certain gleam in her eyes and she initiates things again.
I spent a fair amount of time talking to her and seeing if there was any other change in her life that could be causing those reactions, but it was almost a night and day on/off switch.
